Milk futures lower Tuesday, cash dairy steady to lower
April Class III milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange down a penny at $15.99. May down 12 cents at $15.47. June through August contracts 20 to 23 cents lower.
Dry whey unchanged at $0.3250.
Blocks steady at $1.8725.
Barrels unchanged at $1.50.
Butter down $0.325 at $1.74. Five trades were made, ranging from $1.7350 to $1.75.
Nonfat dry milk down $0.02 at $1.0050. Ten trades made, with a range of $0.9950 to $1.0050.
