Farmer reports regional anhydrous shortage
Southern Indiana Farmer Ben Kron says there have been some regional anhydrous shortages in his area lately.
“We’re not sure why— we think it’s that a lot of people are able to go and run equipment and complete fieldwork,” he says. “We’re being limited on the amount of anhydrous guys can get per day right now. It’s kind of slowed things down, but we’ll definitely deal with it and keep going.”
But, Kron says it’s mostly been business as usual despite the coronavirus pandemic.
“I can’t personally say it’s changed much around here,” he says. “It’s helped moving equipment because there aren’t as many cars on the road.”
Kron grows corn and soybeans in Evansville, Indiana.
