Blunt says Senate-passed bill fixed for farmers

The infusion of $320 Billion dollars into the SBA paycheck protection program in the Senate-passed stimulus bill will allow more farmers to take advantage of the program.

Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt says a provision in the first coronavirus stimulus package had kept many farmers out.

“People who would have applied three days ago, five days ago, only to be told there’s no money available, now will have those applications can be processed with money available for those – and new applications, we BELIEVE, for the likely future of this program.”

The Senate bill also increase money for hospitals, including rural hospitals.

The U.S. House is expected to vote on the bill Thursday and President Trump has said he’ll sign it.
