Great River Friends awards $12,000 in scholarships

Great River Friends recently awarded $12,000 in scholarships to students pursuing health care careers.

Twelve $1,000 scholarships were given in two categories. Scholarships for high school seniors were awarded to:

Elena AbouAssaly, Burlington Community High School, pre-medicine, University of Iowa
Kendall Dascher, homeschooled, nursing, Truman State University
Allyson Farley, New London High School, nursing, University of Iowa
Isabelle Hasel, West Burlington Community High School, pre-medicine, University of Iowa
Joshua Romine, Mount Pleasant Community High School, nursing, Southeastern Community College
Noelle Stoller, Mediapolis Community High School, physical therapy, Indian Hills Community College
Kari Wilson, Wapello High School, occupational therapy, Indian Hills Community College

Continuing-college scholarship winners are:

Anna Chicken, nursing, Southeastern Community College
Abigail Crowner, pre-medicine, University of Iowa
Lauren Galvin, speech-language pathology, University of Northern Iowa
Riley Messinger, nursing, Mount Mercy University
Marshall Rupe, pre-medicine, University of Iowa
