NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley offers free nationally-developed education programs that teach families to cope, communicate and effectively advocate for a loved one living with a mental health condition. NAMI is offering two online events in the Muscatine area.
NAMI Family & Friends is a seminar is led by trained family volunteers with lived experience of
supporting a loved one living with a mental health condition. Topics include understanding
diagnoses, treatment and recovery, effective communication strategies, the importance of self-
care, crisis preparation strategies and NAMI and community resources. This event is offered
virtually via video conference. Registration is required.

This program is made possible by a grant from the Muscatine Health Support Fund and support
from the Muscatine Community Foundation. NAMI is partnering with the Muscatine Department of
