A handful of export sales reported to start the week

The USDA reports private export sales to unknown destinations and Japan.

Unknown destinations picked up more than 207,000 metric tons of corn for the 20/21 marketing year and Japan purchased nearly 111,000 metric tons of corn for the current year.  Unknown destinations purchased more than 218,000 metric tons of soybeans for the 20/21 marketing year.

Soybean purchases by unknown destinations are often, but not always, switched to China for delivery.

The USDA’s next set of supply and demand estimates is out October 9th.
