Six more chicken industry execs indicted for price-fixing

Federal prosecutors have indicted six more chicken industry executives over alleged price-fixing.

That brings to ten the total number of people who have been accused of conspiring to suppress competition by rigging bids and fixing chicken prices. Four of the defendants were charged in June.

One of the new defendants is William Lovette, the former chief executive of Pilgrim’s Pride, who retired in March of 2019.
