Arkansas rice harvest winding down

Harvest continues to progress across Arkansas and made significant advancements last week.   Rice is 93 percent harvested.  Cotton harvest is 67 percent complete.  Soybean harvest is 62 percent complete. 

Eighty-four percent of peanuts have been dug with 65 percent harvested.

Alfalfa is rated 54 percent good.  Vegetables are rated 63 percent good to excellent.  Fifty percent of the winter wheat crop is planted and 33 percent is emerged. 

Eighty-three percent of Topsoil and 82 percent of Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
