Farm Bureau to ensure members’ voices are heard under Biden Administration

American Farm Bureau Federation president Zippy Duvall says he’s aware of some farmers’ concerns about a Biden administration.

But, he tells Brownfield it’s an opportunity for AFBF to develop a relationship with the administration so members voices are heard when it comes to ag policy…

“If we do that, put our partisanship aside, and do the right thing for our country; that is what American Farm Bureau wants and what American farmers deserve as they provide food security for our country.”

He says the list of concerns for ag is long – and includes worry that the incoming administration could reverse President Trump’s rollback of Waters of the US.

Duvall says Farm Bureau wants the Biden administration to understand the positive changes to the rule and why they were made…

“So they can take into consideration, if they are deciding to do something different with it, that they understand we were just taking down roadblocks that prevented us from doing our job that were not sound-science-based.”

Duvall says they also want to see increased trade access, expansion of Rural Broadband, be part of the conversation when it comes to climate policy and healthcare in Rural America.
