Missouri’s corn, soybean harvest nearly complete
The USDA says Missouri’s harvest made progress last week thanks to abnormally warm and dry conditions.
Ninety percent of Missouri’s corn crop has been harvested, 13 percent ahead of last year.
Seventy – nine percent of the state’s soybeans have been harvested, 12 percent ahead of last year.
Cotton harvest is nearly two – thirds complete with the crop rated 49 percent good.
Nearly all of Missouri’s rice is harvested (95 percent), even with last year.
Winter wheat planting is three – quarters complete with more than half of the crop emerged. Fifty – four percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
