Nestlé launches plant-based protein brand in China

Nestlé has launched its first plant-based protein in China.

Under its brand, Harvest Gourmet, the company is offering meat-free options for burgers, sausages, nuggets, kung pao chicken, braised meatballs, pork belly, and spicy wok.

Nestlé also launched its first plant-based production site in China. The facility is fully operational and will provide Harvest Gourmet food items.

Nestlé already has plant-based food options in the US with the Sweet Earth brands and in Europe with the Garden Gourmet brand. The Harvest Gourmet brand is already available in Australia.

Globally, Nestlé has about 300 people researching and developing plant-based products.
