Wisconsin gains a seat on Beef Promotion & Research Board

Wisconsin has gained a seat on the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board.  The Wisconsin Beef Council says the state went from three up to four because of increased cattle inventories in Wisconsin.

Steve Springer from Linden, Wisconsin has been appointed to a three-year term by the USDA as the state’s newest board member.  Springer is a third-generation cow-calf producer with about 40 years of experience.  He joins Bob Mitchell of Wauzeka, Terry Quam from Lodi; and Daphne Holterman from Watertown on the national board. All four national board members also hold ex-officio board seats on the Wisconsin Beef Council’s board of directors.
