December ethanol exports down on month, year

U.S. ethanol exports fell sharply in December.

The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol shipments hit a 17-month low at 74.2 million gallons, 9% less than November and a drop of 41% from December 2021. That’s due to uncertainties global economic growth and increased domestic production in a handful of nations that were previously big U.S. customers, including Brazil, the European Union, and India. Canada took the top slot for the 21st month in a row, followed by the Philippines and Jamaica.
