USDA has announced funding for conservation projects that would improve outreach for underserved producers and communities.
The agency’s Natural Resources Conservation Service is offering up to $70 million in cooperative agreements for entities to take part in two-year projects that encourage participation in NRCS programs. The agreements would develop community conservation partnerships that engage underserved producers to plan and protect farmland ecosystems.
USDA says the funding also supports the education and planning for climate-smart conservation practices.
