For the remainder of Friday, a significant rain event will continue to unfold across the southern and eastern Corn Belt, leading to flash flooding and muddy field conditions.  Later Friday, a narrow band of heavy, wet snow is expected from central Illinois into southern Lower Michigan, with totals of 4 to 10 inches possible.
