CLAAS to develop sustainable equipment to meet EU climate goals

A global equipment manufacturer says it will ramp up development of sustainable farm machinery to help the European Union become climate neutral by 2050.

Mathias Mumme is with German-based CLAAS. “We are engaged with topics like autonomous machinery, like egg bots, but alternatives fuels and drives in our machines are what we are working on.”  

He tells Brownfield farmers will be able to operate environmentally friendly machines. “That means low fuel consumptions.
