Farmers approve Corn Marketing Program of Michigan

Michigan farmers have voted to continue the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan for the next five years.

Vice President Scott Miller of Elsie tells Brownfield, “This renewal was the highest percentage of bushels in favor of it so apparently we’re going in the right direction with our growers—they want to continue it.”

He’s most excited about the checkoff’s efforts to turn an idled ethanol plant near the Detroit airport into a sustainable aviation fuel supplier.
