Hinson frustrated by EPA’s E15 proposal

U.S. Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says she’s disappointed with the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal to delay year-round sales of E15 until next year.

“The EPA continually dragged its feet on permanent year-round E15,” she said. “While I’m glad it will be in place in 2024, they are too late.”

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield consumers need access to E15 this summer. “The President must grant an emergency waiver to make sure E15 is available for the 2023 summer driving season.”

Hinson says year-round E15 would help reduce emissions and provide certainty to the biofuels industry.
