ASTA discusses farm bill priorities

The American Seed Trade Association says farmer safety nets need to be strengthened in the 2023 Farm Bill.

Janae Brady is the association’s vice president of government affairs. “The risk management pieces of the farm bill are really the cornerstone for ensuring producers are able to have a product this year,” she said, “but also turn around and get ready to plant again and find success again the following year.”

She tells Brownfield crop insurance is critical to the seed industry.
