Steps to address global food insecurity

The number of people facing acute food insecurity has increased for the fourth consecutive year. In fact, there are more than a quarter of a Billion people are facing acute hunger, and people in seven countries are on the brink of starvation.

Maximo Torrero Cullen, chief economist with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, says there are ways countries can help to reduce food insecurity.
