EPA Science Advisory Board questions ethanol’s carbon footprint

Ethanol’s carbon intensity score is being questioned by EPA’s Science Advisory Board. 

In a letter to EPA administrator Michael Regan, Renewable Fuels Association CEO Geoff Cooper blasted the advisory board for making unfounded claims including that there are few if any climate benefits related to substituting corn ethanol for gasoline.

American Coalition for Ethanol CEO Brian Jennings tells Brownfield it sounds like there’s either an axe to grind with production agriculture or a lack of understanding.
