Thunderstorms, high winds, and heavy rain has negatively impacted some crops in Michigan.
As of last Sunday, the USDA says corn is rated at 50 percent good to excellent with 95 percent of the crop silking, 64 percent in the dough stage, and 24 percent dented.
Soybeans are 95 percent of blooming and 85 percent are setting pods with 43 percent of the crop in good to excellent condition.
Dry beans are 95 percent blooming, 65 percent setting pods, and 16 percent dropping leaves with the crop rated 15 percent good. Sugarbeets are rated 40 percent good.
Recent rain has increased fruit sizing in some areas with peach and early-season apple harvest underway.
