A multi-year state yield winner says he hasn’t stopped irrigating this season.
Jim Schaendorf tells Brownfield a drought in June and limited rains in July have kept his pivots running.
“I’m pushing that 300-bushel mark right here at the home farm, he shares. “The farms further away from home, I’ll be happy with about 220.”
He says historical data since 2009 and a good partnership with his crop advisors have been helpful for past state corn and soybean yield wins.
