Minnesota farmers focused on small grain and sugarbeet harvest – Voice Of Muscatine

Minnesota farmers continue to harvest small grains and sugarbeets while waiting for corn and soybeans to mature.

The USDA reports as of Sunday barley is 87% harvested, oats are 95% harvested and spring wheat harvest is 85% complete. Sugarbeet harvest is also underway with 6% complete and 93% considered good to excellent.

11% of the corn crop has reached maturity with just 39% considered good to excellent following a hot, dry week.
