An ag economist says Tuesday’s supply and demand numbers from the USDA will be significant to the nation’s cattle and hog producers.
“There are good crops out there and there are poor crops out there,” says University of Missouri’s Scott Brown. “There’s a lot of volatility and in a very short geographic area. “The heat of the last 10 days to me seems to be really hurting on the soybean side of the equation.”He tells Brownfield it could provide a better picture of where input costs head in 2024.
