The Missouri State Fair, held in Sedalia last month, had record attendance this year.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture says 350,000 people visited the grounds throughout the 10-day event, a 2.5% increase from last year.
Livestock competition and entry numbers made a large contribution to the record. Ag Director Chris Chinn says there were more than 25,500 livestock and competitive entries. That includes a more than 30% increase in participation for dairy cattle, rabbit exhibits and ag building entries like hams, bacon and horticulture.
