Corn and soybean harvests have started in Michigan.
As of last Sunday, the USDA says corn is rated at 56 percent good to excellent with 96 percent in the dough stage, 71 percent dented, and 19 percent mature. About one percent of corn has been harvested for grain and 37 percent for silage.
Soybeans are 33 percent dropping leaves and one percent harvested with 54 percent of the crop in good to excellent shape.
