The drought isn’t over yet and at the start the Missouri Drought Assessment Committee meeting on Wednesday, Governor Mike Parson said the drought has short and long-term impacts for Missouri agriculture.
“Most people won’t be over this until sometime next year.”
He said every sector of agriculture has been affected, especially forage production.
“For us back home, we probably had 30 to 40% of our hay crop in June.
