Harvesting remains in full swing for Wisconsin farmers as dry and warmer-than-average weather helped keep equipment moving.
USDA reporters say 27% of the state’s soybeans are now in the bin. Ninety-seven percent of the soybeans are coloring with 80% dropping leaves. Forty-nine percent of the soybeans are in good to excellent condition, the same as last week.
Wisconsin’s corn for grain harvest is 9% finished, while the corn silage harvest is 83% complete. USDA says 95% of the state’s corn has dented with 76% of the crop mature, which is equal to the five-year average. Fifty-one percent of the corn is reported as good to excellent.
