The Global Dairy Trade index rose for a fourth straight trading session.
Tuesday’s index was up 4.3% with an average price of $3,202 per metric ton.
All categories of dairy products saw price increases with anhydrous milk fat gaining 7.1% to $5,310 per metric ton, or $2.40 per pound.
Skim milk powder rose 4.3% to $2,659 per metric ton or $1.20 per pound.
Whole milk powder was up 4.2% to $3,059 per ton or $1.38 per pound.
Butter prices were up 2.9% to $4,940 per metric ton or $2.24 per pound.
Cheddar cheese was up two tenths of a percent to $3,858 per ton or $1.74 per pound.
Lactose prices were up two-tenths of a percent to $599 per ton or $0.27 per pound.
