A farmer in northeast Arkansas says the low river levels on the Mississippi River will likely force him to store grain a little longer.
Derek Haigwood says he’s only delivered the grain that he had booked. “Our grain bins are going to be completely full,” he says. “When the Mississippi gets up, we’ll start hauling to the river.”
He tells Brownfield the wide basis isn’t a huge concern for him right now.
