With spooky season just around the corner, HubScore has released its recent report on America’s Favorite Halloween Movie. Iowans have made their choice, and it seems they love Beetlejuice.
Entertainment experts at HubScore delved into the top 25 trending movies nationwide to analyze the top 5 favorite movies in each state. While Saw X emerged as the nationwide winner, Iowans chose to deviate from the popular choice.
Released in 1988, the film follows the spirits of a deceased couple who are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, and hire a malicious spirit to drive them out.
Following Beetlejuice as the most popular Halloween movie in Iowa ranked in order of popularity in 2023 are Saw X, Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Exorcist.
