Legislative sessions are underway across the Corn Belt and the Center for Rural Affairs says farmers can make a difference when it comes to ag issues.
Interim policy director Jillian Linster tells Brownfield producers need to make their voices heard. “Whether that means traveling to testify in person regarding specific legislation, this is really one of the most important times of the year for making sure that voices in agriculture are sharing their opinions and their first hand experiences with the lawmakers.”
Linster says the center can help farmers get more engaged if they are following a particular agricultural issue.
