Across the Corn Belt, record-setting warmth remains in place along and east of a line from Missouri to Michigan, with Monday’s high temperatures expected to approach 80°F as far north as the middle Mississippi Valley. Meanwhile, cool, breezy conditions—accompanied by patchy precipitation—are returning across the upper Midwest.
On the Plains, cold air has settled across North Dakota and Montana, with some readings below 0°F reported Monday morning in the latter state. In addition, blowing snow is causing some travel disruptions in North Dakota.
