The National Farmers Union is expected to talk more about the farm bill during their policy session, which begins this afternoon.
National Farmers Union Vice President and South Dakota farmer Jeff Kippley says farmer members would like to see a few things take priority in the next farm bill.
“We’d like to see some increases in reference prices, but maybe a decrease in subsidy on the higher levels of crop insurance.”
