Muscatine Kiwanis Club celebrates 100 years – Voice Of Muscatine

(City of Muscatine)

On Wednesday, March 13, the Muscatine Kiwanis Club celebrated one-hundred years of service.

The Muscatine, Iowa Kiwanis Club was chartered 100 years ago, on March 13, 1924. At their weekly meeting they kicked off a year-long celebration of serving the community and the children of the world.

Long-time member Morse Burington presented an interesting program which featured Kiwanis trivia, and after the meal, they enjoyed a special treat (thanks again for the cake, Bob Nicolai!). They’re looking forward to the next 12 months when they’ll be sharing photos and memories from the past, as well as another year full of new projects, new members, and new opportunities for fun, fellowship and community service.
