The public is invited to join the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GMCCI) and the Muscatine Art Center as community members gather to celebrate the rehabilitation of the Center’s historic Japanese garden on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 5:00 p.m. followed by a performance from storyteller Kuniko Yamamoto.
Yamamoto’s performance combines Japanese folktales with traditional musical instruments, magical masks, origami, and mime to create a spellbinding story. This performance is part of the Quad City Arts Performing Artist Series.
Admission is free of charge, reservations not required, and complimentary refreshments will be provided to attendees.
