Plans are underway for the 2024 Muscatine 4th of July Celebration! The community parade, an activity coordinated by Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GMCCI), will get underway promptly at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Downtown Muscatine. GMCCI will be giving away a Grand Prize of $300 cash to the Best of Show “Overall” float and $50 to both the Best Vehicle and Mayor’s Choice!

Deadline to enter is June 27th. No late entries will be accepted. The parade is $50 for individuals/non-profits and $100 for businesses/advertisers. Funds raised go towards the fireworks show.
*Residents in the area should be aware of extra traffic starting at 2pm during parade lineup.
After the parade, GMCCI and the Keep Muscatine Beautiful organization have teamed up again for Almost Fireworks Fest (AFF) on the Riverfront! The event features live music, food vendors, beverage tent, bounce houses, and more.
The AFF stage will also feature our military guests of honor including this year’s parade marshal Rear Admiral Pamela Miller, the Medical Officer of the United States Marine Corps and Vice Chief, Bureau of Medicine Reserve Policy and Integration and a special Purple Heart Award Ceremony for SSG Keith Ormsby, US Army Combat Wounded, Vietnam.
Following AFF, join us for the Honor Guard ceremony before a live performance by the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra. At dusk, enjoy the fireworks show over the Mighty Mississippi! “Let’s come together as a community to show our patriotism and honor those who have served our country. Bring your family and friends for a day of fun and celebration,” said GMCCI President & CEO and Mayor of Muscatine Brad Bark.
Each year it takes approximately $25,000 in funding to purchase the fireworks display and to cover the associated expenses surrounding this community celebration. The fireworks are funded by local businesses and individuals. Please consider donating today.
