Precinct election officials sought within Muscatine county – Voice Of Muscatine

If you are friendly, dependable, civic minded, and detail-oriented, Muscatine County wants you as a Precinct Election Official!

People who serve as Precinct Election Officials are appointed by the County Auditor from lists submitted by the County Chairs of the Republican and Democratic parties and from a list of voters who have contacted the County Auditor.

Election officials must be registered voters of Muscatine County, must be dependable, reliable and must get along well with others.

Election Day, November 5, 2024, begins at 6:00 a.m. for Election Officials and usually ends between 9:00- 9:30 p.m. The work is pleasant and rewarding and time spent standing is minimal. Pay is currently $160.00 per election day plus mileage (if traveling over 5 miles round trip). A two-hour paid training session is mandatory prior to the Primary and General Elections.

You will be contacted by mail prior to each election for which you are needed.
