Jack Wayne Hull – Voice Of Muscatine


Jackie W. Hull, 91, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his home.

The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to donors’ charity of choice, in Jack’s honor. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Jack was born on February 13, 1933, in Milton, Iowa, son of Louie W. Hull and Juanita L. (Faulkner) Hull. He married Beverly A. Nelson, June 15, 1991.

Jack served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School, class of 1951. He was a professional portrait photographer, owning Hull Studio of Davenport for many years and later Film Arts Photography Lab and Studio in Blue Grass until retiring.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to many countries. They purchased the Hull farm and built their home near New Era in 2004.

Jack leaves his wife, Beverly; sons, Mark A. Hull (Kathy) of Richmond, Virginia, and Marshall S. Hull (Emiko) of Dillon, Colorado; grandchildren, Ian Hull and Rita Hull; great grandson, Hunter Hull, all of Richmond, Virginia; sisters, Peggy Schenkel of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Vera Eis of Blue Grass, Iowa; stepchildren, Matt Nelson of Marion, Iowa, Elise Fuller (Nick) of Silverthorne, Colorado, and Nancy Bowman (Jim) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his fur babies, Stoney and Pebbles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Fern Fordham; and brother, Virgil Hull.
