Rick Decker, 67, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at The Summit of Bettendorf.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice. Online Condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Rick was born on November 1, 1956, in Davenport, the son of Charles E. and Rachel Trail Decker. He married Peggy Diehl on June 6, 1981.
Rick worked at Monsanto for many years and was on the Emergency Team. He enjoyed baseball, ice cream, spending time with his family, feeding the birds and animals, and being outside. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Bears fan. He also enjoyed being a member of the I Club in Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Decker; two sons, Michael Decker and wife, Alison, and Steven Decker and wife Nicole; two grandchildren, Taylor and Addison; one brother, Ron Decker and wife, Teresa; niece and nephew, Karen Christofferson and Kevin Michael; many great nieces and nephews; and his grand puppies.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joyce; and brother-in-law, Ron Michael.
