Mayor Brad Bark has released the following message to the City of Muscatine ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday:
Dear Friends,
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. This is a time to reflect on themany blessings we have in our lives, and I am especially thankful for the men and women who keep our community, state, and nation safe. Their dedication and service ensure that we can all enjoy the freedoms and security we cherish.
I am also grateful for our city employees and partners who hard work and for their commitment to make our community a wonderful place to live, work, and play. Their efforts contribute to the vibrancy and sustainability of our community, and I appreciate all that they do. Weare also thinking of the Oien family and all families who have lost loved ones this past year, holding them close in our hearts and prayers, wishing them strength and peace during this Thanksgiving week. Let us continue to spread love and kindness, embracing our loved ones with open arms.
Additionally, I want to acknowledge the generosity of so many in our community. Your kindness and willingness to support one another exemplify the spirit of togetherness that makes Muscatine special.
On behalf of the City Council and administration, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and safe Thanksgiving. Take this opportunity to create lasting memories with family and friends.
God Bless and Be Your Best!!!
