If you or those you know are searching for an excuse to snuggle up and read this season, Musser Public Library proudly announces the return of their Winter Reading Program. Kickstarting Monday, December 16 and through the end of February, bookworms of all ages will have a chance to read something new, try something different, and receive prizes galore.
What is “Bookish Bingo?” There are plenty of book prompts in the bingo squares, but there are other “bookish” prompts as well, such as “read at a coffee shop,” “do the children’s department scavenger hunt,” or “read while wearing mittens.” We have two different bingo cards, one geared toward our younger patrons and the other geared toward teens and adults.
How do I participate? Pick up a “Bookish Bingo” card at the Children’s Desk or the Service Desk. When you have completed five prompts in a row – making a bingo – come to the children’s desk to collect your prize. For teens and adults there is a limit of one prize per bingo card. It works differently for kids. Once they have collected one prize for a bingo, they have the option of going for a “blackout” by completing the entire card. If they get a blackout, they can collect an additional prize.
Happy Winter Reading!
