National Grain and Feed Association names new President and CEO

Michael Seyfert has been named the new President and CEO of the National Grain and Feed Association beginning March 1st.

Seyfert will succeed current president Randy Gordon who is retiring after 43 years with the association.

The past seven years Seyfert has served as director of government and industry affairs for FMC Corp, the world’s fifth largest crop protection company. Prior to that he was on staff for former Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas and served two years as staff director of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee where he oversaw development and approval of the 2014 Farm Bill.

He has represented the US Senate on official government missions to several countries including Australia, China, and Vietnam and worked closely with ag groups including the National Corn Growers Association and NGFA.

Seyfert enters the position as NGFA celebrates its 125th anniversary. He is only the 7th person to serve as the association’s leaders since it was founded in 1896.
