
A southwest Iowa farmer says he expects to plant his 2023 crop on time.
“Sometime probably the 20th of April or so is when will start,” said Ray Gaesser.
He tells Brownfield moisture is back to near-normal levels after last year’s drought. “We’re just a little bit drier than normal here, but our drainage tiles are running and that is a good sign.”
Gaesser says his corn crop needs to rebound from 2022.
